It was a warm summer evening, and I was hanging out with a group of friends in a local park. We were enjoying our carefree teenage years, laughing and joking around. As the sun began to set, one of my friends pulled out a pack of cigarettes and offered them around. The First Puff
With a slightly shaky hand, I took the cigarette and put it between my lips. My friend lit it for me, and I took my first puff. The taste was harsh and bitter, and the smoke burned my throat as I inhaled. I tried my best to suppress the coughing fit that ensued but to no avail. My friends laughed, and I felt embarrassed by my lack of experience.
As I continued to smoke the cigarette, I started to feel lightheaded and slightly nauseous. The feeling intensified with each puff, and eventually, I had to put the cigarette out. I sat down on a bench and tried to regain my composure while my friends continued smoking and chatting.

In the following days, I reflected on my experience and made a conscious decision to avoid smoking in the future. Although my friends continued to smoke, they respected my choice, and I learned that true friends will support your decisions, even if they don’t align with their own.
