Further progress in legalization of marijuana

This year, the legalization has been vigorously promoted in different states across the country and even around the world. Although it will take several years to advance the introduction of these laws and bills, it is unbelievable to see different states slowly accept marijuana and make it legal, and even see some of them legalize marijuana. This is also the voice from people’s hearts.

What new changes have been made since 2021? Surprisingly, at the beginning of this year, five states passed laws to legalize marijuana. Although the rules and regulations of each state may look slightly different, these steps may ultimately support federal legalization. Regulations and laws from state to state generally differ slightly in terms of position restrictions, growing regulations, sales/purchase restrictions, and licensing. People can freely choose vape pens, water pipes, glass pipes and bongs, vaporizers, dab rigs and so on.

This is your omission to legalize marijuana since 2021:

On March 30, 2021, New York legalized recreational marijuana.

New York passed a bill allowing citizens to carry up to 3 ounces of marijuana and 24 grams of marijuana concentrate. The bill details where you can legally smoke marijuana, how much marijuana you can take with you, and how much marijuana you can take at home. Although it will still be illegal to buy and sell marijuana in New York in another year or so, the state does plan to expand its legal sales by eventually allowing dispensaries to appear statewide.

On April 21, 2021, Virginia passed the state legislature to legalize recreational marijuana.

Earlier this year, Virginia, pursuant to a bill approved by local legislation in April, legalized marijuana by July 1, 2021, paving the way for the legalization of the South. Although the bill does not allow legal sales until 2024 in a few more years, it does allow adults over 21 to possess up to one ounce of marijuana. Finally, this move allows adults to legally grow up to four plants at home.

On April 12, 2021, New Mexico passed the state legislature to legalize recreational marijuana.

In New Mexico, new legislation allows adults to have up to 2 ounces of marijuana, 16 grams of concentrate, and 800 milligrams of food. It also allows growers to grow up to six plants at home. The bill also sets out a plan to legalize marijuana sales within the next year, and plans to begin issuing licenses within the next year.

On May 17, 2021, Alabama passed the state legislature to legalize medical marijuana.

In Alabama, the regulations are slightly different from other states because Alabama is medically legal. Now, doctors can legally prescribe marijuana to treat anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and intractable pain. In order for doctors to legally prescribe, they must attend a $500 course to be certified. In addition, the law ignores traditional intake methods such as smoking, and instead allows products such as lozenges, oils and topical products as intake methods.

On June 14, 2021, Louisiana passed the state legislature to legalize marijuana.

Despite the legalization of some forms of marijuana in Louisiana earlier this year, the state has expanded its regulations and now allows possession of up to half an ounce of marijuana. In addition, by 2022, licensed stores will be able to legally sell flowers in their retail stores; as of now, only food, e-cigarettes and tinctures are the main legal forms of cannabis sold in the state.

in conclusion

One of the main differences between states is whether they are legal for medical or recreational purposes. If the country legalizes medicine, it usually comes with some pharmacy license, which means that consumers can legally buy retail cannabis. Some states, such as New Mexico, are more concerned with the social, political, and economic impact of legalization. In many states where legalization is progressing, many people support legalization and legalization of marijuana. This year alone, we have seen a lot of legal advancements related to cannabis, the industry and related businesses. Although these are good advancements in the industry, many people not only look forward to legalization, but also look forward to more measures to decriminalize in their states. Of course there is still a long way to go, but this year has seen some successful steps. I hope that marijuana can be legalized in the near future, because each of us has our own wisdom and knows what is good for us, and we can choose what we like or dislike and dominate ourselves.
